It is a joy to work with Theresa Jennings and to see my memories come alive in watercolor. She is so professional, patient and passionate about her work that I know I will commission more pieces. Her art touches my soul and keeps important memories alive.

My sister commissioned a work of art from Theresa to memorialize my dear cat that passed away. I am awestruck by how realistic and authentic the painting is and how it captures my pet’s essence. I look into my cat’s eyes and can see her, as I remember her, looking back at me. Thank you so much.

Let me just say, that as an amateur artist who has painted and crafted for years…that I don’t mess with watercolors. They are impossible to get a smooth shading or transition. They are difficult to control for exacting lines, and tend to bleed into areas you hadn’t intended with but the slightest mistake. Or even no mistake. If you want to leave some white space in the middle of your work, forget about it. Watercolors are wild, unpredictable, and mischievous.
But Theresa has managed to tame them. Everything I thought impossible in this medium, she has achieved, and done so in a way that captures the spirit, life, and perfect image of my children. Job very well done. Would buy again.

I’ve always thought of watercolors as being a medium for tranquil landscapes or a still life. To see my dynamic, energetic, and sparkly-eyed munchkins captured in watercolor is pleasantly startling! I didn’t know it was possible to create evocative portraits like this, especially at large scale – and it perfectly complements the watercolor decor of my kitchen. I enjoy looking at Theresa’s artistry every morning as I pack the same munchkins off to school. They’re certainly more tranquil caught on paper!
