Pricing is determined on a painting-by-painting basis.
All commissions are done using a contract, with a 50% nonrefundable deposit before work begins, and 50% (nonrefundable) upon completion, before I send it.
I retain copyright to the painting, and may display it on my website and marketing materials, but you will have ownership of the painting.
If you decide to commission me, please look at my work here on my website to determine if my work will meet your expectations. Because I’m using watercolor (and sometimes gouache and acrylic paint), changing colors, positioning, backgrounds, etc. will not be possible. I will send you photos of the work as it’s progressing. The color and contrast won’t be exact, but you’ll be able to get an idea of its progress. A painting can go through some scary stages, so understand you are looking at a work in progress.
I also run a graphic design and web design business, and I take good care of my clients, who have been with me for years. I will try to take good care of you, too. Most paintings take between 2-4 weeks to do, if not sooner.
Framing and shipping prices are separate. If you want me to have it framed, or frame it myself, there will be an additional charge, in advance, that is nonrefundable once the frame is ordered. You will be responsible for shipping costs, too. I try to use the cheapest, most reliable shipping I can. Once I’ve sent it, that fee is nonrefundable, too.
This info and more will be in the contract you need to sign and return before work begins.
I accept payment via check or Paypal. Because your painting is custom-made, PayPal will not do refunds or chargebacks if you change your mind. Their policy.
